Our experienced and caring staff are prepared to welcome preschoolers into an exciting and dynamic preschool program.
Meet our Teachers
I was raised on a farm near Kyle, Saskatchewan. I loved growing up so close to nature and had a variety of pets, including ducks and sheep! I got my B. Ed. from the University of Saskatchewan in 1984 and spent my entire teaching career with Saskatoon Public School Division. Most of my teaching experience was with Kindergarten and Grade 1. I greatly enjoyed the energy, honesty, and enthusiasm of my students!
My husband, Wayne, and I have been married for thirty-five years and have three adult children and a son-in-law. We love spending time with our church family, cheering for the Roughriders and the Rush, and summers at the lake. In my free time, I like to tend my flower garden, read, sew, try new recipes, and take long walks by the river.
I am excited to be a part of the preschool world! I believe children thrive in a stable environment with ample opportunity to explore the world around them. My goal is to provide support and encouragement as they do what God has designed them to do . . . LEARN!
I was born and raised in Moose Jaw and moved to Saskatoon to take my Early Childhood Education training. My entire career has been in the service of children and their families. I’ve enjoyed being an Early Childhood Educator, a Centre Director, an Early Learning Consultant and a Mentor.
I have been married to my husband Darryl for 27 years. We have a son Brendan and a daughter Marin who is married to Kaleb. Darryl and I enjoy cheering on the Riders, volunteering together as well as taking in a good movie whenever we can. In my spare time I enjoy being part of a poetry group and playing clarinet in the Saskatoon Community Concert and Jazz Bands.
I believe children are capable and competent learners who flourish in an environment that gives them an opportunity to play and explore! I love being part of that process!
I’m proud to call Saskatoon my home! I currently work in the Preschool two days a week and also fulfill a part-time role as the Early Years Program Director here at Circle. It has been such a joy working in the preschool and it’s truly the highlight of my week! I’ve always had a passion for working with children and have been a leader in our preschool-age kid’s ministry program for the past 5 years.
I’ve been married to my husband Patrick for thirteen years and we have two daughters ages 6 and 7, along with a dog and 3 guinea pigs! We enjoy going to the lake in the summer, spending time with our families and serving at our church. In my spare time I enjoy working in our yard, taking our girls on ‘adventures’ and reading.
I think of preschoolers as little seedlings that will flourish in a safe and loving environment, so it’s an honour to help nurture them as they learn and grow in our preschool!
Plan to Protect screening program
All of our teachers, EAs, and subs are screened and trained through Circle Drive Alliance Church’s Plan to Protect program. This screening includes a Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector search to ensure children are cared for in a safe and secure environment.
