Our experienced and caring staff are prepared to welcome preschoolers into an exciting and dynamic preschool program.
Meet our Teachers
I was raised on a farm near Kyle, Saskatchewan. I loved growing up so close to nature and had a variety of pets, including ducks and sheep! I got my B. Ed. from the University of Saskatchewan in 1984 and spent my entire teaching career with Saskatoon Public School Division. Most of my teaching experience was with Kindergarten and Grade 1. I greatly enjoyed the energy, honesty, and enthusiasm of my students!
My husband, Wayne, and I have been married for thirty-six years and have three adult children, a son-in-law, and a granddaughter. We love spending time with our church family, cheering for the Roughriders and the Rush, and summers at the lake. In my free time, I like to tend my flower garden, read, sew, try new recipes, and take long walks by the river.
I am excited to be a part of the preschool world! I believe children thrive in a stable environment with ample opportunity to explore the world around them. My goal is to provide support and encouragement as they do what God has designed them to do . . . LEARN!
I was born and raised in Moose Jaw and moved to Saskatoon to take my Early Childhood Education training. My entire career has been in the service of children and their families. I’ve enjoyed being an Early Childhood Educator, a Centre Director, an Early Learning Consultant and a Mentor.
I have been married to my husband Darryl for twenty-eight years. We have a son Brendan, a daughter Marin and a son-in-law Kaleb. Darryl and I enjoy cheering on the Riders, volunteering together as well as taking in a good movie whenever we can. In my spare time I enjoy being part of a poetry group and playing bass clarinet in the Saskatoon Community Concert and Jazz Bands.
I believe children are capable and competent learners who flourish in an environment that gives them an opportunity to play and explore. I love being part of that process!
Born and raised in Saskatoon, I’m proud to call this beautiful city my home! I’ve always had a passion for working with children and was very excited to join the teaching team at Circle Drive Preschool 2 years ago. I’m currently working towards Early Childhood Education Level 1 certification and have enjoyed learning about the development of preschoolers. Previous to joining our preschool, I worked with the children’s ministry department here at Circle as an Early Years Program Director and have been a leader in our preschool-age kid’s ministry program for the past 7 years.
My husband Patrick and I are celebrating fourteen years of marriage and we have two daughters ages 7 and 8, along with a spoiled pup named Milo:)
We enjoy going to the lake in the summer, spending time with our families and serving at Circle. In my spare time I enjoy working in our yard, taking our girls on ‘adventures’ and reading.
I think of preschoolers as little seedlings that will flourish in a safe and loving environment, so it’s an honour to help nurture them as they learn and grow in our preschool!
Plan to Protect screening program
All of our teachers, EAs, and subs are screened and trained through Circle Drive Alliance Church’s Plan to Protect program. This screening includes a Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector search to ensure children are cared for in a safe and secure environment.
